A new venture to broaden my multimedia horizons. And give my family and friends somewhere to follow my (mis)adventures from the comfort and safety of their homes...
Who says college athletes don't care about their fans?
In December 2008, I followed the College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team as they went around the Magic Valley shoveling driveways and front walks for several community members, including a few lucky Golden Eagle boosters.
Mike Chupa and John Harrison tipped me off to this story, the day before they brought it in to IDF&G to be weighted and measured. Thanks fellas! Nice catch!
It's the way it is with most big stories. Somebody has to know, and then tip us off! I'm just glad I was the one that got the call!
A monster of a fish: 17 lbs. 12 oz., besting the previous record, from 2006, by six or seven ounces!
I wish all the shots looked like this one. Somebody got it right, but then production got involved and screwed it all up again... that's what happens when there are too many chiefs, and not enough indians!
Oh well, at least they got it right once out a few hundred times...
Jon Pulsifer was asked to walk on with the Golden Eagles, and I interviewed him the week we found out. "Pulse" had just capped off his senior season by winning the Class 4A State Basketball Championship. Congrats Pulsifer! I'm gonna miss watching you continue to develop!
My boys! A story I did on the Magic Valley Bulldawgs stepping up to the Rocky Mountain Football League AAA Division. I made sure to get some highlights of good ol' #25 in there! Including one of the few touchdowns from 2009.
Andrea really liked the long hair, but the station didn't... and they are the ones signing the paychecks!
Honestly, though, I liked it longer, and it didn't affect my on-air output or my production capabilities, but some people just don't dig the long hair. Oh well, I don't think anyone minds if I teach high school with long hair, right? I guess we'll find out.
This package was done on a fundraiser basketball game at Canyon Ridge High School in early 2010 to benefit the Habitat for Humanity. "I did my best!" but the Ambassadors still beat us by like 20 points... all in good fun for charity!
Standout College of Southern Idaho sophomore Carrick Felix originally signed with ACC powerhouse Duke... He has since backed out of that commitment and signed to play basketball with Arizona State University in the Pac-10.
